I really didn’t want to leave a negative review, as that’s not typically the kind of person I am. Having worked in both the medical field and customer service for my entire career, I understand how demanding these roles can be. However, I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience with the Wayne office. Dr. Gritsus himself was great—kind, informative, and professional. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for his staff, specifically Adriana, the surgical coordinator. I had my initial consultation with Dr. Gritsus on May 19th at 4:30 PM, likely one of the last appointments of the day. At the end of the visit, I was told my surgery could be scheduled. A medical assistant (I assume) informed me that Adriana had already left for the day but would call me the next day to move forward with scheduling. That call never came. I followed up myself on May 23rd. I was told Adriana wasn’t answering and that a message would be left for her. Still, I heard nothing. I called again on May 29th and was once again told she had left for the day. I asked about her schedule, and oddly, the staff didn’t know it—yet somehow always knew she had “just left.” I called back once more on May 30th and spoke with Brian. He was sympathetic and said he would email Adriana, copying in the office manager and her supervisor, to make sure I received a call from her that same day—or by Monday at the latest. It is now Monday afternoon. Still no call. After weeks of being in pain and getting nowhere, I now have no choice but to find another doctor and start the process all over again. It’s incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I truly don’t understand how someone so critical to the scheduling process can be so unresponsive—and still employed. The office is likely losing revenue and, more importantly, patient trust because of this. Thankfully, my situation isn't life-threatening, but it could be for someone else.

I absolutely love Dr. Gritsus I am 3 weeks post up no major complications thank god. I can call his office for any questions or anything I had concerns with and he would literally be done with a surgery and he is calling me back about what I reached at to his office for. Honestly I’m so happy I decided to have my surgery with him. I went through the whole process with the weight loss and my insurance mad me do the whole 6 months with the one time psychologist and two nutritionist visits but I highly suggest keeping there recommended nutritionists because both of them are amazing. Five stars all around!!

I met Dr. Gritsus in January 2019. I researched bariatric surgeons and he was one of the top rated, local surgeons in my area. From my first meeting with Dr. Gritsus, I was confident that he was the man for the job!!! I’ve struggled with obesity since I was a child and the decision to get gastric sleeve didn’t come lightly, but as a nurse, I knew I was heading for diabetes and a plethora of other health conditions.
Dr. Gritsus was incredibly kind and took his time to answer both my husband’s questions, as well as my own. He was attentive and his bedside manner is superb. The day of surgery, I had little anxiety, because I knew I was in excellent, experienced hands. I had my post-op follow-up this past week and I just had to give Dr. Gritsus a huge hug, because he has changed my life for the best!!! I am so thankful for his dedication and passion, he genuinely cares about his patients. My incisions are super small and healing beautifully and I had no major issues following surgery. Any concerns were immediately addressed if I called the office. I would highly recommend Dr. Gritsus in a heartbeat!!! I would also like to acknowledge Sue, one of his office assistants, she has been such a pleasure to work with and she really answered a lot of my questions & alleviated a lot of my anxiety in getting surgery scheduled!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Very happy with Dr. Gritsus and my surgery. I’m only 3 weeks post op but very little pain and my care at the surgery center was fantastic. I can’t wait to see my changes in the next few months. Dr Gritsus has been available whenever I need him. Great Doctor would definitely recommend

Dr. Vadim Gritsus is amazing! He did both mine and my husband’s gastric sleeve surgeries. I am down 90 lbs and he is down 125 since October/November. He has great bedside manner and has been nothing but kind to us. So happy I chose to go with Dr. Gritsus for my surgery!
