I’ve been to Lou three times and each time has been very underwhelming. Especially for how expensive she is. However, the last time was extremely disappointing as she completely ruined my hair. My haircut was choppy, uneven, and the layers are jagged and lot shorter than what I asked for. The back is SO SHORT and then it gets longer in the front- also not what I asked for. She cut my hair like she was wearing a blindfold and when I went home and noticed it the next day, I let her know and without even asking to see it, she tried to blame it on the humidity and then on me. She took absolutely no responsibility or accountability for ruining my hair. For the color, it is a mix of brassy warm tones and cool tones unevenly placed throughout my hair. When I let her know she again, tried to blame her work on me and completely avoided any responsibility. When I left the salon, I thought it looked pretty good as she styles it so you can’t see her mistakes and uses filters and ring lights when taking pictures. Therefore, the photographs are a lot better than it looks in real life. Mistakes happen but the problem is the customer service and lack of accountability for destroying my hair. Her customer service is very concerning. I texted her two months later to simply let her know that I was still very upset and how much my self-esteem has suffered because of the damage she did to my hair. This will take YEARS to fix. I was hoping to have a civil and honest conversation and to agree on a resolution. Again, no accountability and she actually tried to make me feel bad about it. In fact she doubled down on the “standards” she thinks she met. I thought best to share pictures of her standards here as a warning to other customers. If these are her standards this is BEYOND concerning. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a salon. Lu ruined my hair. When you go to a professional you expect quality of service and professionalism. Both of those completely disregarded by Lu. If you decide to visit her at her salon, please be prepared that when she ruins your hair she will be unwilling to provide fair and professional costumer service. **Update** A response.. 1. No ultimatum was ever given in any conversation. My review was posted not because you ruined my hair and not because you didn’t give me a refund. It was posted because the very disappointing way you handled the situation. Both myself and stylists who’ve seen my hair and how you handled this are appalled. You did not step up to fix the problem you caused. 2. It wasn’t even two months later… 3. Again, completely RUINED my hair and did absolutely nothing to fix the situation or make it right except attempt to deflect blame onto me. 4. It's concerning even with these pictures you still stick by these "standards" of yours. 5. It is actually really sad that it had to end this way. If you handled this better and like a professional it wouldn’t have. If you simply offered to help and make it right it wouldn’t have. And I’d be happy to post our text conversations on here as well.
I have been going to La Vida Salon since it’s opening and I always leave so happy and refreshed with my new hair. Lu, the salon owner, is amazing and has been the only person I have trusted with my hair since I met her 9 years ago. She is patient with all my hair goals and never rushes the process. Before finding Lu, whenever I had my hair colored it always turned brassy and dry. Lu has completely changed my hair game and my color always stays true for even a full year. It also helps that the salon is absolutely beautiful and relaxing to be in. All the other stylists and employees at the salon are also so great at what they do- you can’t go wrong with any of them. I always look forward to my appointment and seeing their friendly faces.
Angelina did my makeup for my wedding along with 5 bridesmaids, two moms, and my grandma. I am so grateful for her talent, calm demeanor, and for really listening to what I wanted. I found Angelina after I really hated my first makeup trial with another artist. As someone who doesn’t wear much makeup, I didn’t like the look of foundation on me. Angelina was the only artist I spoke to that said it was completely up to me and she’d guide me along the way. She spent 3 hours on my makeup trial, completing each part of my face one step at a time to make sure I liked it. On my wedding day, she was just as thorough with excellent time management, completing all the girls within 5 hours. I cannot recommend Angelina enough, and I thank her for making me look, and more importantly, FEEL, beautiful on my wedding day.

Angelina is the absolute best make up artist!! 10/10 would highly recommend. Her attention to detail is spectacular and listened to everything I wanted. She gave me the most beautiful natural look for my wedding day! As for hair, Katie is hands down the best!!!! People were commenting all night long how great my hair looked. I couldn’t be happier.
