Did not have a great experience with Rescue Plumbing & HVAC. After an initial diagnosis of the problem with my HVAC system, was told the motor fan needs to be replaced. Spent nearly $1500 for parts + labor. This did not resolve the issue. After another test, was told this is a control board problem and was quoted an additional $1500!! Went with another company for a second opinion. Turns out it was an issue with air flow and the problem was resolved for less than $700. The one star is only because the technician who came over was very responsive even around thanksgiving and spent considerable time trying to diagnose the issue. Happy to pay for the cost of labor here but at least expect a partial refund since the issue was unresolved. Have called to request a partial refund and Rescue plumbing & HVAC have been completely unresponsive.

2nd update: review is now dropping to 1 star. The absolute disdain and corrupt nature for which this company has is unfathomable. So I put in a dispute based on what I feel was a rightful return, I was threatened with legal action, later promised some resolution and NOTHING was received. The tactics to completely mislead are apparent. I was also told that the techs recorded the installation, which makes no sense at all. If you're trained to perform a job in extreme conditions then why record without informing the consumer that it is occurring. Also, how do you tell me that I am bound by a contract when no copy was given to me? I sincerely hope karma bites this company. Absolutely awful. They didn't even remove all the old equipment from the attic after installing the new A/C. Update:: despite multiple attempts that warrant some type of return based on the totally lackluster procedures of Rescue, they wouldn't budge. Review is being dropped to 2 stars. Moving forward I will certainly not recommend. The job was completed to a decent amount of satisfaction. However certain factors of this job don't warrant a 5 star review at all. I was given an assurance that the job to install my new Central AC would take 2 days tops. It took 5 and that's considering 90% of the job was complete on Day 1. What was left was to install a larger base on the new Condenser Unit and reinstall my window. For this part of the job to take an additional 3 days is completely unacceptable, and to be told we weren't considered an emergency is unacceptable. To leave an open hole in the window and have the unit on a smaller base for a few days poses a serious safety hazard. The pricing was totally unreasonable. I was told after my old unit was inspected that payment plans were offered. The day the job was completed, I was told to pay in full and no special financing was offered. The tech was unresponsive at certain points, and only came under an emergency when the drain pipe of my new unit leaked on my ceiling. I also did not receive my bill or receipt until about 2 days after the job was completed. Nothing was itemized and despite the AC working very well, I sincerely feel I was ripped off. Not even a discount for the new unit when both Google and the company offered it. It was never brought to my attention. While Rescue may be satisfactory to most, I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere for future issues. The professionalism was subpar at best. Technicians were not punctual, at certain times they were completely unresponsive. Rescue needs to work on certain standards.

This was our third try to get our air conditioners fixed. Guess that's the charm. Joe and Sully came when they said they would and were very personable. We needed to replace 2 units after 25 years. They had units at house next day and worked 2 days straight to get it going. Would highly recommend them and will only call them for the air and heat. Thank you guys!

Let me start by saying no one should ever use this company!! If there was a way to give negative stars I would. They are incompetent and as far as I can determine in checking with the NJ Board of Plumbing, they are not licensed to work in NJ. Read details below. We discovered our hot water heater was leaking from the pressure relief valve and getting our basement carpet wet on Wednesday the 1st of September. This occurred on the second night we moved into this house we purchased. We called Rescue Plumbing and Heating and the tech that answered the phone said he could be there in about 45 minutes. The Tech arrived and said he had to go to his shop to get a new unit for us and would be back. We were quoted a price of $1950. He came back and installed the new unit. By the time the job was finished near midnight, I was asleep as I had been moving in for 2 days. My wife got an invoice with no address or license number on it as is required by the law governing all types of NJ licensed contractors. The next day we called to see what the process would be to get a permit filed with the Town of Montville. The person we spoke with told us that there would be a charge of $475 for them to file the permit. I pointed out that this was not mentioned at the time of the original quote but they said this was their charge for the service. In that this charge seemed unreasonable to us, we called our regular plumber to get this opinion. He stated that that should have been included in the original estimate. We also asked him if he would take a look at pictures of the installation to be sure it was done correctly. He got back to us right away and said there were multiple problems with the installation not the least of which as the fact the flue was not connected to the unit and did not have a upward pitch (see photo). He then spoke to the plumbing inspector for the Town of Montvllle about what should be done and the inspector said the unit had to be removed immediately as the installation had multiple problems. At nine AM or so we called the company directly and also the tech whose number we had and asked that the unit be removed immediately as it was not venting carbon monoxide gases as it should . On top of that the plumbing inspector for the town of Montville also called. It is now after 5PM and we have not received a call back and the town plumbing inspector never did either. These people no only do poor work, they do dangerous work. We have our windows in the area open so they don't manage to poison us due to their incorrect install

He was well mannered, extremely confident, explained everything and knew what he was doing. It really was a pleasure to have been serviced by Romi. He also recommended options with purchasing a high efficiency heater since ours is quite old.
